Hay Friend!

Did you know you are in the repair phase? I know it probably has been rough. Trust me, I get it. I’m in it too. But my guest, Amber Latrece Smith has some words of wisdom that may bring wisdom to this time in your life. Amber attended Tuskegee University, where she completed her Bachelors in Physics. Upon graduation from Tuskegee University, she was selected to join the Operations Management Leadership Program at General Electric. Amber worked in corporate America effortlessly climbing the company’s ladder for 4 years. After Amber’s first humanitarian trip serving in the South African townships of Oceanview and Masiphumelele, God called her to full time ministry. You can imagine the shock. After a stressful transition, Amber began to see the beauty of her new calling and walked in it with confidence. After leaving Corporate America, Amber published her first book, Letters to a Younger Me, and founded the freedom/outreach ministry, Jeans, T & Me Ministries.

My girl Amber knows a thing or two about being in the repair phase. It can uncomfortable, scary and just plain hard. But in this time, Amber teaches us the beauty of learning yourself, learning how to trust God and allowing him to wow you with things you never knew were possible.

Takeaways:

  1. The power of loving yourself and how to do it
  2. The process is not easy or comfortable but it is building you up so don’t give up
  3. Your character is being built so you can handle the calling on your life
  4. Comparison is dead. Don’t waste your time doing it. It robs us of seeing the value of our callings.
