Hay Friend,

Ready to be blessed? Of course, you are! On this episode, it is my pleasure to introduce you to Oladoyin Oladapo, a 20 something that is the definition of a world changer. Doyin is the creator of Idunnu Studios, multicultural children’s content company. Her goal is to change the landscape of children’s content by creating culturally inclusive and thought-provoking books that inspire kids while fully engaging them. Doyin has been living the entrepreneurial life since her junior year at Wesleyan University, where she co-founded Joomah, an HR software company for West African employers. Since then, Doyin has worked as a Content Producer and Social Media Strategist at Snapchat, Time Inc., Lyft and for dozens of small businesses and CEOs. She is the creator of 22 books and is working on 50 in the next 2 years.

Doyin had so much to share about her business. From how she used the resources around her to create her skills when she had no prior knowledge to writing or producing books, self-funding the business and what it takes for her to run and maintain daily. This took years of research, learning, and hard work but her business is continuously blessing this next generation She also shares how she allows God to direct her footsteps and how he is the one who brings the opportunities, so she does not chase after something or someone that is not for her. Words of wisdom ring throughout this episode. Two things you will learn is that you must be resourceful and that good things take time. Nothing of substance comes at the snap of a finger and you can’t build a legacy in a 30 day 30K type of mentality. If you enjoy it, please share it with a friend, trust me they will appreciate you for it.

Takeaways:

  1. Be resourceful when building, what you need is around you.
  2. Nothing long lasting comes easily or quickly.
  3. Allow God to be in control of even the smallest details in your business and see what happens.
  4. You are not alone if you need someone to reach out to, please contact me hello@theplannter.com
