Hay Friend!

On this episode, I speak with entrepreneur, social worker, and my aunt Dupe Lanre Abioye. Dupe has been doing hair for almost 30 years. She has experience in building multiple salons in areas such as the UK and Canada. However, this was not her original plan. At a young age, she was told being a hair stylist was not a noteworthy job and wanted to pursue a career in law. She fought with her natural gift to style hair until she lost her career. Dupe takes us on the journey to how she let go of the shame associated with her talents, how life improved once she accepted her skills and how allowing herself to fully commit to her purpose and journey opened up her gift for social work. This podcast will give you the courage not to be ashamed of your natural gifts but learn to embrace them and show you there is a need for what you have to offer. No matter how insignificant you think your talent may be, there is a place in this world where your gifts are needed.
