Happy New Year! This is the first podcast of the new year and I am grateful and honored that you are still here doing life with me! For the month of January, my goal is to encourage you to know thy self. We’re going to be diving into topics that encourage you to look at yourself as your own motivation and inspiration. We can get so caught up in what others are doing and their version of success that we forget to look at ourselves at the same standards. So get ready, this month, it’s all about discovering ourselves and knowing who we are so we can crush those God given dreams and aspirations!
On today’s podcast, I am speaking with Deborah Johnson, creator of Heart of Worship blog and Integrity by Design Clothing line. I met Deborah a few years back and she has been encouraging me through her blog to grow a stronger desire to know God and pursue healthy relationships. Deborah did not always know that she was destined for ministry. After many years of trying to get into nursing school and not succeeding, Deborah then realized that she was aiming for a version of success that wasn’t her own. She realized that the success she was aiming for was the success that others thought she should achieve. Also, it had nothing to do with what God told her to do.
On this episode, Deborah encourages us to pursue success from a kingdom standpoint. To not run after the things we see others doing but run towards what God has called us to do individually. Whether you are to be a business owner, artist, nurse or minister, this podcast will give you a greater understanding of how to determine success on your terms, how to keep God at the center of everything you are doing and know the process ahead when you are aspiring to reach higher levels.
